Science Careers in Search of Women

On April 14, 2011 as part of the Science Careers in Search of Women Conference at Argonne National Laboratory for upper level high school girls, a presentation and tour was high-lighted at HPCAT. Dr. Yue Meng (beamline scientist) at Sector 16ID-B (diffraction beamline) gave a presentation on the affects of high pressure along with extreme temperatures (high and low) and a tour of the IDB beamline hutch (left image). Dr. Olga Shebanova (visiting scientist), who was conducting an experiment at Sector 16BM-D (bending magnet beamline), talked with the girls about her work as they viewed the equipment inside the BMD hutch (home page image).
