National Postdoc Appreciation Week logo

At Carnegie, we know it's crucially important to acknowledge the efforts of our postdocs throughout the year. We recognize that they bring creative energy, new opportunities for collaboration, and fresh research ideas to our campuses, and that their continued excellence burnishes Carnegie's reputation when they go out into the world.

This is why we always celebrate National Postdoc Appreciation Week. This year's festivities included several special meals, a behind-the-scenes museum tour, a trip to one of California's channel islands, an ice cream social, professional development workshops, and more. Our institution's leaders also took the time to praise the efforts of these impressive early career scientists, noting the many ways that they improve the quality of work and life at all of our departments.
