Mr. Wilson is managing director of EON Productions Ltd., the production company responsible for the official James Bond film series. He joined EON in 1972 and since 1979 has been an executive producer or producer in every James Bond film, currently. Mr. Wilson is also president of DANJAQ, LLC, the holding company responsible for the copyright and trademarks to the characters, elements, and other material related to the James Bond films. In addition to his production duties, he co-wrote For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights, and License to Kill. He has also made cameo appearances in the Bond films, starting with Goldfinger and in every Bond film produced since 1977.
Mr. Wilson is founder of the Wilson Centre for Photography. The Centre hosts seminars and study sessions, runs an annual bursary project with the National Media Museum, and loans to international museums and galleries.
Mr. Wilson is chairman of the Albert R. and Dana Broccoli Charitable Foundation in Los Angeles. He also serves as chairman of the Science Museum Foundation and the Kraszna-Krausz Foundation and as a trustee of Harvey Mudd College, Cape Farewell, and The Art Fund. Mr. Wilson was named an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth in 2008 for services to the film industry.
Mr. Wilson earned a BS in electrical engineering from Harvey Mudd College in 1963 and a JD from Stanford University in 1966. He began his career working for the U.S. Department of Transportation and then as partner in the firm Surrey and Morse, specializing in international tax and business transactions.
